The Story of S19

We began by looking at skin differently.

Not as a fixed type.

But as something that changes, responds and moves through phases.

TWO FOUNDERS. ONE SHARED QUESTION.

Why should changing skin have to fit a fixed label?

Some days skin needs hydration. Some days it needs recovery. Sometimes it feels balanced; sometimes it doesn’t. We kept coming back to one simple observation: skin changes, but skincare often asks us to choose one type.

S:19 began with a different way of looking at that.

Monica Ravilla and Sindhura Narla brought two different perspectives to the same problem — pharmacy and business, formulation and everyday behaviour. What connected them was the belief that skincare could be more responsive to what skin actually needs.

So they built S:19 around phases rather than fixed types - with each formulation created for a specific state of skin.

The S19 Approach

We formulate with a reason.
For every phase.
Every ingredient. Every detail.

01

Skin doesn’t stay in one state.

So we don’t build skincare around a fixed skin type. We formulate around four phases - Dehydration, Recovery, Oil Imbalance and Uneven Tone - each with a different set of needs.

02

Make every ingredient count.

We don’t believe an ingredient belongs in a formula just because it sounds good on a label. Every active is chosen for a reason, with a clear role to play in the formulation.

03

This is where the capsule comes in.

Key actives are held within tiny capsules, bringing a considered formulation into a texture you can see, feel and work into your skin.

WHAT YOU MIGHT WONDER

Things worth knowing
before you begin.

  • A skin phase is a period when your skin has a particular set of needs. These needs can change with environment, lifestyle and other factors over time. S:19 looks at skin through this lens, formulating around specific needs such as Dehydration, Recovery, Oil Imbalance, Uneven Tone & many more. A phase isn’t a permanent label - it’s a way to understand what your skin may need at a particular point of time.

  • A capsule cream brings a cream and gel formulation together with capsules containing selected active ingredients. The capsules are part of the formulation itself - designed to hold the active ingredients and become part of the texture as you work the product into your skin.

  • Each capsule contains a considered blend of active ingredients selected for its formulation and skin phase. Rather than adding actives simply because they are popular, S:19 builds each formulation around a specific purpose - with every ingredient chosen for its role.

  • Absolutely.
Skin is responsive to things like environment, routine and changing conditions, so its needs can change too. You may move from one phase to another over time - which is why S:19 is built around phases rather than a fixed skin type.

  • S:19 doesn’t begin with a generic moisturiser and add ingredients around it.
We start with a skin phase, define what that phase needs, and build the formulation around it - selecting ingredients with a specific purpose and bringing them together through capsule technology.

  • Start with Find Your Phase.
